The power of game music...
Recently, I decided to start playing Civilization IV, a popular turn-based strategy game. To my surprise, the game's soundtrack was amazing, especially the opening menu music.
After playing the game a couple of times, I noticed that I would always linger around the menu screen just to listen to the music. I decided to dig through Civilization's game directory and found the soundtrack which was, to my luck and relief, in MP3 format. As I listened to the music, I kept getting hooked more and more to the point where I decided to actually look up the opening menu song's lyrics.
What I found blew me away.
My favorite song is called "Baba Yetu" which is "Our Father" in Swahili (African).
No wonder I found the song uplifting and revitalizing.
